Beloved of Christ Jesus, the Word of God in 2 Timothy 3:16 says; “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” The Word of God above has some supernatural benefits, such as the following: (1) Teaching – Giving guidance and direction, giving understanding, revealing things that we do not understand, so that those who do not understand understands it. David also said, “Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. Your commands are always with me and make me wiser…. more insight than all my teachers…. more understanding than the elders” (Psalm 119:97-100). (2) Explaining mistakes – After reading or listening to the word of god we will be made aware of our mistakes. There are many Christians when reproved by the Word of God no longer makes them aware but instead makes them angry. (3) Improving behavior – Improving means restoration. The aim is that we would become a much better person. (4) Educating the truth – We all know that education is a lengthy and gradual process. And there are reprimands, teachings, rods, and even whips involved in education.
How much have our lives benefit from the word of God? If there are no changes in our lives, there is something wrong with us. What must happen is — the longer we follow the Lord the more mature our spirituality is and bear fruit for the glory of God. Let us meditate on the Word of God every day and be doers of the Word because that is the will of God. May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you all. Amen!
