Role of Holy Spirit

Beloved of Christ Jesus, God’s Word says in Romans 15:13; “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the POWER of the Holy Spirit.” What is the role of the Holy Spirit in the growth of a believer’s faith? The Holy Spirit illuminates God’s people by giving the Word that has been written in the Bible. The intention is to make us understand the teaching and the demands of God given to us which we do not understand all this time. The reason why we do not  understand is not because we are ordinary people, but because of our limitations as human beings.

Each person, whether he is a layman or a preacher, need the guidance and enlightenment of the Holy Spirit in order to achieve a certain level of understanding. Therefore, the ability to understand the Word of God does not depend on our skill and prowess. Even though we are able to deliver the Word of God or testified in front of others and ultimately lead someone to repentance and accept Christ as Saviour, all these are the
work of the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit is the one that continuously working to change hearts and to reveal the understanding and the knowledge of God so that one can have faith and believe. Without the participation of the Holy Spirit in our ministry everything we do is futile. May the grace of God be with us all, Amen!
