Welcome to a time of Worship in the house of the Lord.

Beloved of Christ Jesus, if someone does wicked things or hurt us, the world has one principle: retaliate more viciously. And, many Christians have applied this worldly principle in their lives. Don’t we know that the nature of Christianity is the equivalent to love, and in it there is forgiveness? And for this, Bible clearly states, “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. (Matthew 6:14-15) Thus forgiving others who wrong us is a must. The statement: how many times we should forgive others? “I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven.” (Matthew 18:22) In Christianity, forgiveness has no limit because forgiveness is the foundation in a believer’s life. We must know who we are. And remember that we have been saved and qualified to become the children of God, and have received the blessings of God that preceded by the forgiveness that has been done by Christ on the cross, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” (Ephesians 1:7) Who among us has never sin? No one. Thus, no matter how big the sin done by a person to us, we have been commanded to forgive him because Jesus has forgiven us first. If we know that our sins have been forgiven, we should be obedient to do what God has commanded.

Beloved of Christ Jesus, the act of forgiving is the hallmark in a believer’s life. Therefore, let us ask for the strength of the power of the Holy Spirit so that we can forgive others because it is the will of God. The peace of God be with you. Amen!
