Beloved of Christ Jesus, the word of God in Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV) says; “Be very careful, then, how you live — not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” We must be aware that opportunities in this life are very precious, and that why the apostle Paul advises us to really use them wisely. If we don’t use it well then we will lose that opportunity. Therefore, we must pay attention to the time the door is open and when the door is closed. Revelation 3:7 (NIV) says, “…What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open.” This means that there is a time when God opens the door for us for an opportunity; if we do not enter it, the door will be closed. The door may be a very good opportunity but only once. So, pay attention to the time that God is giving. Ecclesiastes says that the fate of all people is the same, what distinguishes one another is whether we use opportunities in this life well or we waste them. So with that the Word of God in Ecclesiastes 9:10 (NIV), “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”
Therefore, brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus, while we have the time and the opportunity, and are still given the breath of life by God, let us do everything that God has entrusted us to do in any field (ministry, work, study and so on) earnestly and wholeheartedly. The peace of the Lord be with you all. Amen!
