Beloved of Christ Jesus, we should be proud of having God in the name of our Lord Jesus, because He is a very good Father for us. David said, “The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him.” (Psalm 103:13 NLT). Our heavenly Father loves children who believe in Him and always rely on Him in all things. Thus let us live by always pleasing the Father with our behaviors, words and deeds. When our lives are pleasing and honoring God, then He as a good Father will surely give us the best. His Word says, “So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask him.” (Mathew 7:11 NLT). Is not it God’s goodness that we are enjoying now? And when we experience “discipline and chastening” from Him, we must not say the Father is evil or unjust. In Hebrews 12:10 says, “For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness.”
Similarly, a father who loves his children would certainly educate and teach them when they do wrong or made mistake. His reprimand is always for our good. Beloved of Christ Jesus, as we celebrate the Father’s Day today, we should give thanks to God and be proud of our fathers because they love us compassionately and always teaching us to be good and love God. Thank you, father, for your sacrifice, knowledge, and love that you have given us over the years. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord!
