Beloved of Christ Jesus, the Word of God in Mark 5:19 (NLT) says; “No, go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you and how merciful he has been.” Being a witness of Christ is the duty of every believer without exception. Witnessing mean to testify of what one’s experienced, seen and felt personally, rather than telling the experience of others. The Lord Jesus once told of a man who had been miraculously healed from the demonic power that had dominated him for so long, even made him abnormal. He was at the tomb day and night screaming and beating his body with stones. After being healed and restored, the man desired to follow the Lord Jesus, but the Lord forbade him and encouraged him to go home and witness to the people in his village, “And he departed and began to proclaim in Decapolis all that Jesus had done for him; and all marveled.” (Mark 5:20).
Have we witnessed to others about the Lord Jesus? Maybe we have not because we know that our own life cannot be a testimony to others? I believe every one of us had experienced God’s help – healed of sickness, restoration of marriage, and so on. This is what we should witness to others. So our job is only to testify, while the one who makes the person repent and believe in the Lord Jesus is the work of the Holy Spirit according to God’s TIMING and WAY for that person. Therefore, beloved of Christ Jesus, do not delay in telling the goodness of God in our lives to others. God bless, Amen!
