Beloved of Christ Jesus, the Apostle Paul advised the church at Philippi, “… continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. Do everything without grumbling or arguing.” (Philippians 2:12-14). Through the blood of Christ believers receive the courage to enter the holy place to meet the Father in heaven. It is made possible because Christ Jesus, the High Priest has opened the way for us. Lately, however, some Christians who are persistent and faithful in following God have become weak when they are faced with problems, pressures or suffering. But do not let these problems or difficulties abstain us from worship meetings, let alone leaving our faith. Apostle Paul once again gave an advice; “Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.” (Hebrews 10:35).
Any person who faithfully followed God will be marked by his commitment in worship and serving in God’s work in whatever circumstances. Paul’s advice to Timothy, “Train yourself in godliness; for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophetic utterance when the council of elders laid their hands upon you.” (1 Timothy 4:7b, 8, 14). Therefore, brothers and sisters in Christ, let us not let go of our faith, for the great reward awaits. May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen!
